Susperts Target Asian Females

The Grand Prairie Police Department is looking for suspects who appear to be targeting Asian women by stealing their purses after shopping at a local retail center. In the span of one week, there have been at least two purse snatchings in the parking lot of Asia Times Square located at 2615 W. Pioneer Pkwy. Similar offenses have also occurred in Arlington as well as Irving.
The first offense took place on Sunday, September 24th, 2017 at 7:25 p.m. The victim stated that she walked to her vehicle that was parked in the Asia Times Square lot, opened the passenger side door and placed her purse on the passenger seat. When the victim walked to the driver’s side of the vehicle and sat down, a black male suspect opened the passenger door, took her purse and fled. Approximately 40 minutes later, two men, shown below, used the victim’s credit card in Fort Worth. The suspects were in a dark color, newer model, Chrysler 300.
The second offense took place on Sunday, October 1st at 7:33 p.m. The victim was loading groceries and asked her daughter to hold her purse. She said that a black male suspect reached into the vehicle, snatched the purse from the child’s hands and fled the area in a black newer model Toyota Camry.
